motorboi!

this is not really related to design except for the cute logo... but i just wanted to share
an awesome website created by my friends! Motorboi! the website allows you to
instantly compare motor insurance quotes from up to 18 insurers!  being used to the
online instant quote and renewal of car insurances in the states, i find the system in
Singapore very frustrating. but i think this will make my life a whole lot easier.
amazing stuff!

MIRTA jewelry

Beautifully simple jewelry inspired by architecture and nature.  The designer, 23 year old
Andrea living in Croatia had to temporarily close her shop due to the overwhelming

eew. this is really cool.  mold printed on a ziploc bag... you can protect your food from
others but you might lose the appetite to eat it.

yum: PS cafe

P.S. cafe at the Palais is definitely my favorite place to brunch.  not only because it's always impossible to get  a seat at the Riders cafe in Bukit Timah, but because i love the atmosphere. the outdoor seating takes me away to a beautiful place. i read many reviews about these fancy brunch places and how snobby they can be. i personally have never experienced this myself.  they make me happy every time :) oh, and i can't drink coffee but my boyfriend says that the coffee at P.S. cafe is one of the best in Singapore.

dune

super modern jewelery from the Dune line by jewelery designer Marketa Richterová. She says the inpiration of this collection is the “Endless scenery of snow dunes. Untouched and authentic white country. Wish to be out there on the top, pure feelings and freedom. It’s all about the emotions.”  i became very interested and looked through her other designs. They were amazing.  its simple yet every line, and curve is perfect.  they are like a beautiful geometrical interpretation of nature.

Capella Sentosa

I just visited the Capella hotel in Sentosa to check out the wedding package. I was very impressed by the space and service. the blending of old and new in lush greenery.

We did a walk-in without any reservations but everyone, even the waitress at the cafe was more than happy to help us get the information. I later found out the new part of the hotel was designed by one of my favorite architects, Norman Foster. I was set on holding my wedding reception in their unique circular Grand ballroom....but the minimum number of tables is too much for the intimate wedding i'm planning.
