Customized Sticky Candies!

I just ordered 4 kg of customized candies from Sticky!! Never carried so much candy in my life.  It has my company's logo in it for passing out at events. The process of picking the colors and the favor was really fun but I played it safe this time and went for a simple design with their most popular flavor, apple+grape. Aren't they cute ;)

Braid-Textured Rug

I came across this rug and fell in love with it when I visited the showflat for the upcoming Interlace condominium designed by OMA. I had no idea where it was from but I just found it through Pinterest! When it comes to these things, Pinterest is amazing. I think it has a unique look and it feels great.  It's cushy but still firm because it's made with felt. Now I know the cozy feel comes from the handwoven New Zealand Wool! Anyone know where I can get this in Singapore?!

Dressed Up Tea Candles

This is a brilliant DIY idea from Trendenser that has just one step. Wrapping a tea candle with washi tape!

Please don't erase these Neon Animals

I think I was a total hoarder as a child. I loved collecting things and I was good at it. I had to put them neatly in boxes too, compartments were even better. I still come across a box full my childhood treasures when I go back to my mother's house.

I was just reminded of it when I saw these super neon animal shaped erasers by Brunnen. The little me wants to keep them in a box to admire, and never let them serve their purpose as an eraser.  It's so cute how do you expect me to erase away a neon gorilla's head :)

Weekend Love: Green!

If I had to choose a word to wrap up the past weekend it would be 'GREEN!' The Saturday morning began early with our trip to the Nyee Phoe Flower Garden way up in the northern part of Singapore. We were there on a mission! The architecture firm I work for won a competition to build a Pavilion for the upcoming Archifest in Singapore. The walls of this structure will be installed with 2000 planters made from recycled bottles as a part of the 'zero-waste' building concept. And guess who had to prepare this!? yup, my colleagues and I spent the day planting away. Those of you in Singapore, I hope you visit the Pavilion!

Sunday was also green. Green grass from the driving range.  It's usual for me to visit the range on Sundays with my husband, but this week was special. It was the first time I wore my brand new and very first pair of golf shoes! How cute are these.

It's good to spend a weekend away from the computers.  I hear green is good for your eyes :) Hope you had a fun weekend too!

One of a kind

Happy Friday everyone :) Can't believe how fast September is passing by! I will like to end the week with some beautiful stone jewelry selected by the ladies of Bona Drag from various designers. I love that special 'one-of-a-kind' feeling you get from raw stone jewelry.

Procrastination

Here's a video for those feeling inspired to do everything BUT their work. I was never a procrastinator, until I went to architecture school.

Mini Camera USB

The Camera USB drive from Photojojo is a cutie.  Go ahead, take great shots with your real camera, then store it in this mini!  I think it will make a good gift for the photo enthusiasts.

DIY for the Weekend Market

In efforts to clear out my overstuffed closet, I'm participating in the weekend flea market tomorrow, 15 September at the *Scape in Orchard.  It will be from 2pm to 8pm. Here's a little DIY price tag clips I made to add a cute touch to our shop. For those of you in Singapore please come by!!!

1. Create and print a sheet of rectangular price tags (with bright colors and a cute font!) that match the size of your laundry pins.

2. Cut out the printed price tags.  I got a pack of 36 laundry pins from daiso )

3. Paste the paper on the laundry pins (I used spray glue from elmers).  That's all!!

Pineapple sticky notes

I love silly things :)  This pineapple sticky note made me laugh and practicality aside, a simple design that can make someone smile is a success in my books.  There are tons of cute sticky notes out there but I love this because it actually uses the original yellow color and nothing is printed.

OYOY!

One day I will make a big shopping trip out to the nordic countries and will buy everything! For now, I'm just decorating my imaginary apartment with the adorable products of OYOY, a Danish interior design company.

“The simple things should have one colour stroke, which should be seen and give the product edge. The things we surround us with should make us happy and give us energy.” Lotte Fynbo, designer of OYOY.

1. Placemats
2. HokusPokus bag
3. Tippetop candleholders
4. Stripy cushion

Oh my sweetness. The Confection Macaron Trinket from Ruche. I can't help but think about what little things I'm going to hide in there.

Strangers' Reunion

I visited the Strangers' Reunion on Saturday for my weekend brunch. It's a cozy little cafe located in a shophouse along the Kampong Bahru Road. I was just looking for a nice breakfast menu but ended up discovering something that totally made my day... a moist, freshly frosted Red Velvet cupcakes!! I think I will be back for an afternoon tea + dessert.

The Maple Dijon glazed Bacon was amazing.

Salvaged Wood Diamond

These are the mesmerizing works of Ron van der Ende, a sculptor living in Rotterdam. He specializes in wall mounted bas-reliefs constructed from found wood. The original coloring and texture of the scrap wood are used and combined to create the photo realistic mosaic. I would love to see them first-hand!

The original color and texture of the wood is utilized to form a gripping and realistic mosaic. The realism is further enhanced by the perspective built into the relief.

Dietlind Wolf

I discovered the most fascinating and inspiring blog which displays the amazing works of Dietlind Wolf, a visual designer, prop-stylist and photographer from Germany. The styling and photos are so beautiful I couldn't help but to flip through the entire blog.

Empire State of Pen

This is the craziest time-lapse video I have ever seen.  Illustrator, Patrick Vale from UK draws the Lower Manhattan skyline as seen from the Empire State Building... completely freehand!

You need to watch this.

Beaded love!

I'm lovin' the handmade bead jewelry by Singapore's husband and wife team, Jeannie n Richard. Here are my faves and you can find the rest at their etsy shop.  The colors are beautiful!
