DIY Geo Magnets

Here are some geometric magnets I made using polymer clay. They're really cute and super easy to make!

Here's the how-to: Take a chunk of polymer clay in the color of your choice and roll it up into a ball. Shave away corners with a razor blade until you find that perfect shape (make sure one side is big enough for the magnet). After baking the clay, glue a magnet on the back and you're done!  I bought a set of round magnets at daiso :)

Things Organized Neatly

My colleague just introduced me to the most feel good tumbler site for the inner OCD in me. It's called the 'Things Organized Neatly.'  and it's exactly what it say, photos after photos of things that are organized neatly.

This one is my favorite.  I would love a perfect fitting container for all my stuff.

ABC wedding poster

This is a really cute idea for a wedding from Jen Ramos of Made by Girl.  I came across it while shopping for one of her "LOVE" posters below.

"LOVE" the gold and mint combo.

Bedroom Wall Graphic

This is love at first sight. I am so drawn to this beautiful art on the wall providing a backdrop to the bed. It will definitely inspire the decor of my next bedroom.  This room is a part of the loft in wicker park by Dan Sheehy and more photos are available here.

Hokulani cupcake

You didn't think I will end a LA/Hawaii week without any postings on cupcakes, did you!? This is not my usual LA cupcake joints like Sprinkles or Larks but a new one my friend introduced me to in Waikiki. I didn't expect much from such a touristy area but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Most of my friends know I'm a red velvet freak... but at the Hokulani cupcake shop I thought the Guava flavor was pretty amazing.  and that concludes my LA/Hawaii vacation report.  Have a nice weekend everyone!

Kahala Beach

During the Hawaii trip we drove past my childhood home in this area called Kahala. I was a bit disappointed to see that things have changed and the flowers my family planted were all gone.  At least the Kahala beach down the street where I spent my weekends fishing for crabs and hanging out with my family still looked familiar and beautiful...

Alicia's Market

I'm half way through sharing my holiday in the two cities I consider home.   I've done two posts on Los Angeles so it's time to move on to Hawaii.  I'm going to introduce Alicia's Market which I tried for the first time.  It's a little hidden gem where you can get your local fix. I've never been a fan of Hawaiian food but I love ahi poke. This market has an amazing poke counter with all the pokes you can wish for.  They were deliciooous.

I'm so addicted to this Sea Asparagus with Wasabi Poke. I miss it already!

A Malibu Wedding

Hi everyone! I just returned from a holiday in LA & Hawaii so this week's posts will be all about the trip! I'm going to start off with some photos I took at my friend's wedding which was the main purpose of my long journey.  It was one of the most the beautiful events I've ever attended and I felt very lucky to be a part of it.  Oh, and I loved my bridesmaid's dress!

Little green on my desk

I brought a little friend to my office desk. I planted this myself using the same method as the terrarium I made before.  The planter is actually a ceramics cup I found at daiso!

Arik Levy

I think I've expressed my love of diamond shapes throughout this blog.  Arik Levy is an industrial, interior and graphic designer and I just love the his sculptures and installations. One day I'm going get a giant backyard to place one of these.

Nail Art: Celebration!

I'm actually flying over the pacific ocean as this post is going online.  I'm headed for a week in LA & Hawaii to celebrate one of my best friend's wedding.  She was my roommate for 5 years as well as the maid-of-honor at my wedding last year. This is all so exciting, so of course I'm up at midnight, just a few hours before my flight getting my nails ready for the occasion. I've got my bridesmaid duty with a beautiful Tiffany blue dress so I kept the colors light but still with some sparkle.

I'll be back in a week to share all the things I see/ eat/ buy/ love!  In the meantime please enjoy the regular daily posts ;)

Dip Dyed

So it seems like everybody has had their hand at dip dye projects. It's definitely a fun, easy project. I'm determined to do one the moment I find some cute wooden bowls.  In the meantime, here are some of my favorites!

Get your color dipped salad bowls from Wind and Willow

or you can learn to make you own pastel dipped chopsticks on Poppytalk

and I save the best for last from The Proper Pinwheel!

Bouquet Recipe

I've introduced the flower guide from wedding chicks before but I just found something even more amazing on their website. The BOUQUET RECIPE!! I'm soo upset that I didn't find this before my own wedding!! >_<   Especially because I was very unhappy with the bouquet my Singapore florist brought me on the day of... after I paid $200.

Just like the title, this is a recipe for bouquets.  When you pick a bouquet from their list of beautiful photos, they will tell you exactly what you need to recreate it.  You can just hand it over to your florist or diy!
